Mr. Metal Color is a special paint designed to replicate the authentic shine of real metal, achievable simply by polishing with a cloth. To use Mr. Metal Color with a brush, move the brush in a consistent direction, such as from right to left or top to bottom.
After the paint dries, gently polish with a cloth or tissue. Fabric like old underwear is ideal for this purpose. The level of polishing will affect the finish: no polishing will result in a matte finish, light polishing will give a subtle shine, and heavy polishing will produce a strong gloss. The key is to apply gentle, even pressure while polishing.
Note: Coating with Mr. Super Clear can dull the metallic color, so use with caution.
Note: For coating, it is recommended to use a water-based topcoat series. Coating helps reduce adhesion and oxidation of the metal particles.
Note: Mr. Metal Color is different from Mr. Color paints. It cannot be revived with Mr. Color’s dedicated thinner.
