The Be-12 "Chayka"( in English “Seagull”) was an anti-submarine amphibious aircraft, successor to the obsolescent Be-6. The turboprop plane entered service in the Soviet Navy on 29th November 1968, equipped with hydro acoustic "Baku" system, containing the set of 18 buoys and a reception container. A total of 150 Be-12 have been produced till production ending in 1973.
