Soviet Tank Hunters with Dogs WWII (1/35)
SKU: ZVE3611In 1941-42, due to a severe shortage of anti-tank weapons, Soviet troops used over 60,000 dogs to combat German tanks. They were specially trained and equipped with 2-4 kg of explosives attached to their backs in canvas bags, each with a detonating antenna. The dogs only had to touch metal to trigger an explosion. The dogs were trained to quickly lunge under the tank, from a short distance, so they could quickly reach the "dead" zone of the tank's machine gun. During the war, anti-tank dogs destroyed over 300 Nazi tanks.
