Сamo netting woodland NATO Barracuda / Russian Army type MKS (1/35)
SKU: S-336A volumetric decal made using volumetric printing technology using ultraviolet curable ink (3D printing) simulating a camouflage network.
The decal simulates a camouflage net with a Barracuda cut pattern according to the NATO classification and the ISS according to the Russian classification. It is painted in the colors of the US Woodland (NATO Green, NATO Brown, NATO Black).
Method of application:
- Cut out a piece of the required size/shape. If necessary, the decal can be additionally painted*.
- Cut the decal frame out of the package along the contour and assemble it, or use any suitable box as a drying frame.
- Pour warm water into a bowl of suitable size and soak the decal in it for 1-2 minutes.
- Carefully remove excess paint if the decal has been additionally painted
- Remove the sheet from the water, place it on a flat surface, separate the corners from the base and place the frame on the decal. Turn the frame over with the sheet, fold the edges of the decal around the frame and carefully remove the backing. If you have sufficient experience working with large decals, you can, after extracting a sheet of their water, separate the decal from the sheet and immediately place it on the frame.
Important! The time period during which the decal remains elastic and flexible, from the moment it is removed from the sheet to its curing, is 20-30 minutes, depending on the room temperature and storage conditions. Then it polymerizes and becomes hard and brittle.
- Use the frame to slightly stretch the mesh and leave to dry for 3-5 minutes. To speed up, moisture residues can be removed from the decal with a paper napkin.
- Transfer the decal to the model, shape it and fix it on the model with glue.
*During the testing process, the material was tested for interaction with the following solvents and diluents.
- Thinner for varnish-based paints (Tamiya Lacuer Tinner for LP, TS, AS series paints)
- Enamel thinner (Tamiya X-20)
- Isopropyl alcohol
- White Spirit (Tikkurila 1050)
- Alkyd thinner for auto enamel (Vika)
In addition to all these diluents, the fully polymerized decal is inert (does not react with them) and as a result can be safely tinted and painted with paints based on these materials.
Store in a warm, dark, dry place. When cooled below 18oC, it can become brittle. After heating above 21 ° C, it restores its properties.
