Προστατεύει από τις καιρικές συνθήκες, συντηρεί επιφάνειες, λάστιχα, πλαστικά, τεφλόν, καλύπτει ένα ευρύ φάσμα θερμοκρασιών λειτουργίας: από – 50°C έως 180°C, έχει πολύ καλή χημική αντοχή στην οξείδωση, η βαζελίνη δημιουργείται από εξευγενισμένο ακατέργαστο λάδι και εφαρμόζεται τοπικά ή ως λιπαντικό.
Ιδανικό για τη λίπανση εξαρτημάτων αερογράφου όπως: O-Rings, τεφλόν, βαλβίδες και τυχόν σπειρώματα βιδών.
