Το βαρύ τανκ Pz. Το VI Tiger σχεδιάστηκε το 1942 από την Henschel Company και μέχρι σήμερα παραμένει σύμβολο της γερμανικής ισχύος δεξαμενών ακόμα και με μόλις 1354 οχήματα που παράγονται. Από την ημερομηνία σχεδίασης ήταν το πιο ισχυρό όχημα με τα όπλα και την πανοπλία του από όλα τα άρματα μάχης στον κόσμο: η μετωπική του θωράκιση είχε πάχος 100 mm, το πυροβόλο των 88 mm ανακατασκευάστηκε από το διάσημο γερμανικό αντιαεροπορικό πυροβόλο Flak 36 συν μια προσφορά σκοπευτικού ακριβείας Η ακριβής βολή σε μεγάλες αποστάσεις επέτρεψε στις μονάδες Tiger να καταστρέψουν πλήρεις στήλες συμμαχικών τεθωρακισμένων μέχρι το τέλος του πολέμου.
