Βαρύ βαρέλι, εύκαμπτο τρίποδο βάσης. Το πολυβόλο M2, πολυβόλο Browning 50 Caliber, είναι ένα βαρύ πολυβόλο που σχεδιάστηκε προς το τέλος του Α' Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου από τον John Browning. Είναι πολύ παρόμοιο στη σχεδίαση με το προηγούμενο πολυβόλο M1919 Browning του John Browning, το οποίο ήταν θαλαμωτό για το φυσίγγιο .30-06. Το M2 χρησιμοποιεί το μεγαλύτερο και ισχυρότερο φυσίγγιο 0,50 BMG, το οποίο ονομάστηκε για το ίδιο το όπλο (BMG σημαίνει Browning Machine Gun). Το M2 έχει αναφερθεί ως "Ma Deuce", ή "το πενήντα" σε σχέση με το διαμέτρημά του. Το σχέδιο είχε πολλές συγκεκριμένες ονομασίες. η επίσημη ονομασία για τον τρέχοντα τύπο πεζικού είναι Browning Machine Gun, Cal. .50, M2, HB, Ευέλικτο. Είναι αποτελεσματικό έναντι πεζικού, άθωρακων ή ελαφρά θωρακισμένων οχημάτων και σκαφών, ελαφρών οχυρώσεων και αεροσκαφών που πετούν χαμηλά.
