Το ρωσικό όχημα T-90AM "Proryv" και η έκδοση εξαγωγής του T-90MS είναι η τελευταία τροποποίηση του κύριου άρματος μάχης T-90A. Η πιο σημαντική αλλαγή αφορά τον πυργίσκο, ο οποίος είναι πλέον εξοπλισμένος με το νεότερο και προηγμένο σύστημα ελέγχου πυρός "Kalina", το οποίο διαθέτει ενσωματωμένο σύστημα πληροφοριών και ελέγχου μάχης. Επιπλέον, το άρμα μάχης είναι εξοπλισμένο με ένα εκσυγχρονισμένο λειόκαννο πυροβόλο 2A46M-5 120 χιλιοστών με νέα συσκευή αυτόματης γέμισης. Επιπλέον, ένα τηλεχειριζόμενο αντιαεροπορικό πυροβόλο T05BV-1. Η προστασία αποτελείται από τα νεότερα αντιδραστικά τούβλα θωράκισης - "Relikt". Ο εκσυγχρονισμός έχει οδηγήσει στο γεγονός ότι η κινητικότητα και η ασφάλεια του άρματος μάχης T-90MS έχουν βελτιωθεί σημαντικά και οι διαστάσεις έχουν παραμείνει πρακτικά αμετάβλητες, επομένως παραμένει στην κατηγορία των οχημάτων μάχης έως 50 τόνους.
