Το M240, επίσημα Machine Gun, 7,62mm, M240, είναι η στρατιωτική ονομασία των ΗΠΑ για το FN MAG (Mitrailleuse d'Appui Général,[5] που σημαίνει πολυβόλο γενικής χρήσης), μια οικογένεια υλικών που τροφοδοτούνται με ζώνη και με αέριο πολυβόλα που εκτοξεύουν το φυσίγγιο ΝΑΤΟ 7,62×51 χλστ.
Το M240 χρησιμοποιείται από τις Ένοπλες Δυνάμεις των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών από τα τέλη της δεκαετίας του 1970. Χρησιμοποιείται εκτενώς από το πεζικό, τις περισσότερες φορές εταιρείες τυφεκίων καθώς και από οχήματα εδάφους, σκάφη και αεροσκάφη. Παρά το γεγονός ότι είναι βαρύτερο από συγκρίσιμα όπλα, θεωρείται ιδιαίτερα αξιοπιστία και η τυποποίησή του μεταξύ των μελών του ΝΑΤΟ αποτελεί σημαντικό πλεονέκτημα.
