SKU: 07.181Shop by Vendor: Jim Scale
The color was used to paint the upper fuselage of USSR aircraft from 1943 to 1945. Jim Scale Hobby Alcohol Paints. Volume 10 ml. Paints contain alcohol.
Please note: To avoid problems with painting your airbrush must be perfectly clean before use. You need to blow at a distance no closer than 5-8 cm from the model. It is necessary to feed paint into the airbrush at a low and medium position of the airbrush trigger (avoid maximum paint supply). Pressure from 1.5 to 2 atm. If a spiderweb effect appears, then you need to increase the amount of thinner (For example: 2:1)
Features:
- Jim Scale alcohol metallics are based on a very thin pigment and in order to achieve the thinnest layer, you need to add more thinner (3:1 or more). For best results, apply metallics over a glossy black base.
- The paint dries completely within a day. The paint “sets” 90% after 4 hours. During this time, you can wash off the paint, adjust or make chipping effects.
- It is necessary to prime the painting surface in advance.
- Thin with proprietary thinner (Art. 07.012/14) or alcohol-containing enamel thinners, as well as regular IPA. For ease of use with an airbrush, the proprietary thinner (Art. 07.012) has a longer drying time than pure isopropyl alcohol.
- Jim Scale 7 Series Alcohol Paint is NOT compatible with water or water-based thinners (Tamiya X20).
- Wash off the airbrush with isopropyl alcohol or proprietary thinner (Art. 07.012/14).
- The surface has a semi-matte layer; polishing using abrasives or polishing paste is possible.
- Use only in well-ventilated areas.
